On August 3, 2014, Islamic State terrorists attacked peaceful Christian and Yazidi communities in the Sinjar region of northern Iraq. What followed was a genocide in which an estimated 3,750 men were killed. More than 7,750 women and children were taken captive, many to be sold as sex slaves.
