There is something to be said for a slow-burn love story, one that sweeps you and takes you on an unforgettable journey of emotion, drama, strength, survival and the kind of connection that happens rarely in life. In “All I Longed For Long Ago Was You” that kind of love story is set amid the backdrop of war, devastation, oppression and a poverty stricken life. This is an emotionally charged novel that sucks you in, weaving a tale that grips your heart and forges a connection with characters as Odette and Dan’s story is unraveled in startling detail.
The book is well-written with lush and vivid storytelling, adding layer after layer to the novel and fleshing out the characters in intricate ways. L.C. Moore has a talent for writing that is clear from the start, drawing you in and keeps you eagerly reading until the very last page with bated breath and a desire to see how Odette and Dan’s story ends. Altogether, this was a fantastically engaging tale that hooked me from the start and made me eager to see what else the author has written for me to sink my teeth into Free on Kindle.
