I’m reluctant to call myself a poet. It’s an anti-poetry age, as it well should be. Most poetry I’ve experienced is archaic or pretentious or inaccessible or irrelevant or goofy; most of it is just downright boring. Really, I’m a poet only by definition, by default. Maybe a word designer
